Rosaries

The name is Steph but you can call me whatever you find fitting. I'm 21 and live in the interesting city of Hamilton, Ontario. I work at a music store, which I enjoy, most of the time. I'm also an artist, play a couple instruments, sing, write and bake constantly for my friends. I think unicorns, dinosaurs and pinhatas are awesome and Mexican food is pretty great too.

SWEATER.

Sigh (the good kind)

  • Work today went really well.
  • My god-daughter is staying the night.
  • Hung out with my brother and sister-in-law for a large part of the day today.
  • Made Bolos Levedos (these lemon-tasting bread things, they’re delicious) with my mom.
  • Supercrawl is this saturday: Young Rival, Plants and Animals, Broken Social Scene, Dinosaur Bones, The Junior Boys, and Said The Whale are all playing and many others. I’m absolutely stoked. Good friends, good music, should be a good time.
  • It’s that time of year again: school is starting. Rach is off to Windsor, Krista and Nicole are off to Toronto and Tynasha is going back to England soon. It’s kind of a bummer but meh, that’s what skype is for. That just leaves Alannah, Veronica and myself out of the gang to get creative with our shenanigans.
  • Kings of Leon concert is coming up but like the Foo Fighters concert, it won’t hit me until the week of. 
  • L.A. is also coming up and i’m more than prepared, now my only issue is which clothes I’m bringing on the trip. 
  • Although summer and it’s marvelous weather are what make me truly happy, I’m rather excited for the fall season to come. You can already feel the slight kiss of autumn in the breezes during the evening: I know that summer is pretty much over, but I’m still gripping onto it as much as I can.
  • Everyone in the family is already placing bets on when my sister-in-law, Jen, will give birth. Both Jen and myself have our fingers crossed for October 31 -that would be beyond awesome. They STILL can’t decide on a name.
  • My favourite piece “Babydoll” that was finished earlier this year and bought by someone shortly after the art debut is finally going to its owner later this month. My wall just won’t look the same without it, but I finally decided to make prints of my pieces (at least a couple of my pieces). It would just make life a little easier.
  • My arms have been feeling better off-and-on but they’re still getting worse. Today was pretty bad.
  • On a more positive note, as my arms get worse, my mother’s arm is doing much better! She’s practically back to her old self, which is an incredible relief. It’s nice to see her smile and laugh again. 
  • I’m still waiting for the blood test results.
  • I’m still waiting for the right occasion to wear that awesome 50’s dress I bought earlier this summer.
  • Turns out the city of Hamilton doesn’t recognize online ordained ministers so we’re going to have to figure something else out for Rach’s wedding (which stinks, we were all kind of getting a huge kick out of the idea of me being the minister for the wedding).
  • Damn that Beastie Boys music video for “Body Movin’” was freaking awesome, I haven’t seen it since I was a kid. It’s such a fun music video.
  • Alright kids, time for me to listen to some music and organize some things then I’m heading to bed. My brother Rick is having a family barbecue tomorrow and I said I’d help out with some things. Then a rousing game of Simpsons Jeopardy! I will own everyone at that game.
